MUGSHOTS
Every mugshot tells a story, reflecting a moment in someone's life where choices and consequences intersect. It serves as a reminder of our shared humanity and the complexities of the human experience.
After immersing myself in true crime podcasts, I became fascinated by the Mugshots taken during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Intrigued, I delved into extensive research and ultimately embarked on a creative project.
While capturing these images, my underlying intention was not to mock or shame, but rather to evoke a sense of amusement. I aimed to invite viewers to reflect on their own mischievous misdeeds and find themselves smiling, while appreciating the nostalgic quality of the portraits.
