GUIDANCE

As humans, we navigate the delicate balance between being both the puppet and the puppeteer. Within this work, I aimed to emphasise the concept of control in a predominantly positive manner. Parenting, for instance, revolves around nurturing and fostering a child's physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth from infancy to adulthood. This experience is accompanied by a substantial amount of consistency and routine, which serves to establish necessary boundaries for children.

As parents, we assume the role of guides, helping our "puppets" evolve into better individuals, both for their own benefit and for the greater good of the world. Our primary goal is to empower them through unwavering support, understanding, kindness, and love, while still upholding firm boundaries. By employing symbols from everyday life, I explored the concept of parental guidance in a meaningful and relatable way.
