A DAY AT THE BEACH

This story is provides a link between my past self and my future self, which can make me feel like there is more continuity and meaning to my life.

Photographs play an important role in everyone’s life as they connect us to our past, they remind us of people, places, feelings, and stories.  They can help us to know who we are.  Photographs freeze memories.  They capture a moment, and a place in in time, that one can remember and cherish for years.

I am fortunate enough to have spent many years immersed in the same seascape as my predecessors; one I frequently visit with my own family.  Reminiscing fills my heart with warmth and comfort.  The smell of the sea evokes some of my deepest memories.  This brings me happiness and peace, as it did my ancestors.
